DOG HOLLOW SCHEDULE SHOULD ENTERTAIN
FANS
For immediate release February 9, 2012
STRONGSTOWN, PA – Jim Michny has all but
released the 2012 Dog Hollow Speedway schedule
and it should be an open wheel fans delight.
For the first time in the tracks history, a sprint car
division will be on the weekly card, with the
Racesaver 305 Sprint Series being added to the
schedule.
They’ll join the Super Late Models, Fastrak Late
Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and two
classes of Four Cylinders for the season. Once
again racing will take place every Friday night,
beginning on April 20 at 7:30 p.m.
Four specials highlight the schedule with the first
of two mid-week events being held June 5. The
Tuesday night affair will be a part of the popular
Appalachian Mountain Series for the Super Late
Models. The Street Stocks and Four Cylinder
Sidewinders will also be on the 7 p.m. card.
The next event is July 3 and will feature tractor
and semi truck pulls at the speedway, with the
action beginning at 7 p.m.
Two Sunday events are also on the card, including
the second annual Connor Bobik Memorial on July
15. The 410-Sprints and Fastrak Late Models will
join the Super Late Models for the event. The race
is a memorial race to honor young Connor Bobik;
the five-year-old son of track photographer Derek
Bobik who lost a brave fight with cancer early last
year. The action kicks off at 7 p.m.
The final special is an all-open-wheel show on
August 19. The BRP Super Modifieds, the 410-
Sprints and the Racesaver 305 Sprints will see
action at 7 p.m.
The pit gates will open every week at 5:30 with
grandstand gates opening at 6 and racing kicking
off at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
Admission is the same as 2011, with adults paying
$12; senior citizens $10, children 12-15 $5; 7-11
$2 and six and under free, with an adult.
A family pass, which is two adults, and up to three
children up to 15-years-old costs $28 and each
family members receives a hot dog and drink.
Practice will be held starting at 9 a.m. on April 7
and 14.
All divisions will have a time limit, except the
Super Late Models, and all drivers, including four-
cylinders, must run the raceceiver radio that will
allow them to hear the press box to alert them of
cautions, line-ups and any other announcement
needed during a race.
A complete detailed schedule will be available on
the website soon at www.dog-hollow.net.
